MOPS

A special welcome from our Mops Coordinator

I am so excited to share with you what our Mothers of Preschoolers is doing this year…

Centerpoint MOPS is a great way to get connected to other moms in the nearby community. We get together on Tuesdays weekly, alternating meetings and playgroup.

This year we are diving deeper into friendships and taking our theme, “PLUNGE” to a whole new authentic level. Everyone wants to be known and know others, but in the midst of parenting and life, sometimes we feel overwhelmed, invisible and alone. Making grown up friendships is not always easy when we can barely finish a sentence or a meal before our preschooler demands for our attention.

Here at Centerpoint, MOPS is providing an atmosphere where you will get to finish your sentence and breakfast, and also refresh your mom connections, develop your family connections, and deepen your faith connectio.

This year we will focus on 5 essentials; Self, Marriage & Family, Children, Faith and Practical skills.

In Christ,
Susannah Hosbein, Centerpoint Mops Coordinator

Our purpose is to nurture all mothers of preschoolers by meeting their distinct needs.
All mothers of preschoolers are welcome here, regardless of age, race, or religious beliefs.
The following are the nine basic needs of mothers; we seek to affirm and meet these needs.

SIGNIFICANCE - Sometimes I wonder if mothering matters
IDENTITY - Sometimes I’m not sure who I am
GROWTH - Sometimes I long to develop who I am
INTIMACY - Sometimes I long to be understood
INSTRUCTION - Sometimes I don’t know what to do
HELP - Sometimes I need to share the load
RECREATION - Sometimes I need a break
PERSPECTIVE - Sometimes I lose my focus
HOPE - Sometimes I wonder if there’s more to life

We meet those needs the following ways:

  • Through a woman-to-woman network of conversation, exchange of ideas, support, and intimate friendships.
  • Instruction from an experienced Mom on the varied roles of wife, mother, friend, and woman.
  • Small discussion groups exploring topics that range from marriage and motherhood to spiritual and individual enrichment on a personal level.
  • The opportunity to complete a craft project for enjoyment at home or to give as a special gift.
  • Quality childcare and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages infant through kindergarten!
MOPS is About:

  • Meeting Needs
